Aim
During the development of this project we will have to make expedient decisions on how to do things, deploying existing concepts (e.g. pings, DOIs etc), and existing metadata structures. It would be amazing if the existing technologies could support things within existing standard protocols etc. This work package would bring together what we have learned, and make recommendations about what needs to be done to streamline the activities and migrate the lessons learned into other communities. It is possible that other technologies would have been better suited than those chosen early in the project to get going. This work package will review available technologies, not just those utilised in CLADDIER, and provide feedback via the deliverable to the wider community. The final report to be produced will cover: the technologies considered for CLADDIER and why they were selected or rejected, a review of their use within the project, a review of their potential for wider use, and a survey of new technologies not available or considered at the start of the project.
